Breaking Boundaries: 140km LoRa Transmission

In the world of IoT, range is often limited by urban density or geography. We decided to put our hardware to the ultimate test. The mission? Transmit data from the Karkonosze Mountains to our home base in Zielona Góra.

The Experiment

Using our custom-designed BuzzNode modules, we placed a transmitter on the summit of Śnieżka. Despite the distance and atmospheric variables, our gateway at the Braniborska Tower successfully captured the signal.

The Technical Specs:

  • Distance: 140 km
  • Transmission Power: 100 mW (20 dBm)
  • Frequency: 868 MHz (ISM Band)

This success proves that our low-power systems are not just theoretical—they are capable of long-range environmental monitoring in even the most challenging terrains.
