Introducing Bee Monitor - A New Approach to Environmental Monitoring

The Bee Monitor project is our flagship IoT initiative aimed at protecting biodiversity and enhancing environmental monitoring capabilities. Utilizing LoRa (Long Range) wireless technology, we've developed a remote monitoring system specifically designed to study pollinator populations and their habitats.

Why Bee Monitor?

Pollinators are vital for maintaining ecological balance, but their populations are increasingly threatened. Traditional monitoring methods can be invasive, expensive, and labor-intensive. Bee Monitor provides a non-invasive, energy-efficient, and scalable alternative.

Key Achievements:

• Custom-designed transmitters and base stations optimized for low power consumption.
• Achieved record-breaking communication ranges—140 km with only 100 mW transmission power!
• Comprehensive signal coverage map creation for Zielona Góra and surrounding regions.
• Detailed analyses of weather impacts on signal stability and system reliability.

Collaboration is key. We're actively partnering with academic institutions, local governments, forestry departments, and technology companies to further refine Bee Monitor and extend its applications.
